Elevate Student Ministry
At StoneWater we have a really cool unique way of doing Student Ministry. This summer we started doing 2 services (Senior High and Junior High) on the same night in the same building but just at different ends of the building. The youth band has a pretty crazy schedule on Wednesday nights. They have a run thru (which I will explain more about later) then they lead in Junior High at 6:30, as soon as they finish there they take their guitars and run down to High School which starts at 7:00! It is pretty awesome to see them all serve in this way!
We wanted to share a short video with you of some things that happen on Wednesday Nights…If you are a student or know a student that would want to be a part of this please share it with them! Thanks!
Story behind Dad Life!
Okay so I hope most of you got to see our “Dad Life” video this morning at StoneWater! I wanted to give you a little behind the scenes of where this whole thing came from. About 3 years ago a now good friend of mine Jesse told me about his old church called “Church on the Move” in Tulsa (Dry Gultch) Oklahoma. After looking them up and being super impressed by their services I began to church stalk them. We recently went to a conference for Creative Minds that they put on called “seeds conference.” One of the speakers there was Ed Young of Fellowship Church in Dallas. One of the things that Ed said about churches using other churches ideas was “You got eyes so Plagiarize.” Well we did just that. Contrare to popular belief the music and voices that you heard in our video were not those peoples voices at all, they were the originators (Church on the Move’s) voices. We just wanted to use our guys with their personalities to kind of make it fit for StoneWater…So here is our video followed by Church on the Move’s…Also, big props to Casey Oliver (the main guy) Paul Hayes (playing the part of the black guy) Doug Clark (playing the part of the older gentleman) and Michael Carter (Playing the part of the grill guy) all for acting, and Jason and Tycen for being a part of the whole thing as well! It was super fun to make, and I hope you all enjoyed it!

Give Me Faith- StoneWater Worship
I heard this song called Give Me Faith by a church out of Charlotte, NC called Elevation Church. They are an awesome church that is doing some amazing things for the kingdom! I was blown away by the power that this song has in it! When Adam joined our Worship team this was the first song that I thought of that his powerful voice would be just perfect for! And it was! God is amazing and has given me such faith just through the power of this song. SO I thought I would share the video here from our Run through from this past sunday. Run Through is basically the “dress rehearsal” That we do before the first service Each sunday. Ignore the audio quality it was taken straight off of the camera! ENJOY!
Invite your friends
The number one way to get someone to come to church is by a PERSONAL invite. I can get coupons to chili’s in the mail all day long and it not make me want to go, but as soon as a friend says “hey you want to go to chili”? I am in! So Church let’s invite our friends, not so that we can say, look at all of these people at church, but so that they can hear a life changing message from God! Here is one way to do it, just send them this sneak peak video to our series starting on October 31st…
